The Allective website is a membership platform providing Unique Benefits and Purchasing Guidance from a curated group of Brands who provide best-in-class products and services. site. By using the Allective website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.
Securing your data and providing a full understanding of what data we store and how we utilize your data, is critically important to Allective and its partner communities. Please see below for information on our privacy and data protection policies.

General Data Usage and Privacy Overview

Allective collects and uses your personal information to operate its website(s) and deliver the services you have requested.

Allective may also use your personally-identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from Allective and its affiliates. Allective may also contact you via surveys to conduct research about your opinion of current services or of potential new services that may be offered.

Allective does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties.

Allective may share data with third party service providers featured on the site as to help perform statistical analysis, , provide customer support, or arrange for deliveries. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to Allective, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

Allective may keep track of the websites and pages our users visit within the site, in order to determine what services are the most popular. This data is used to deliver customized content and advertising within the site to customers whose behavior indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area.

More Specifics of the Data We Store About You and How It’s Utilized

Personal Profile

Allective stores all information you enter into your personal profile including name, contact details, selected passions and interests, specified club affiliations and other information you choose to share as part of your profile.

Payment Information

If you choose to provide it, we also securely store your credit or debit card information to allow you to purchase items for sale as quickly as possible. Of course, you can remove your payment information at any time and our system will permanently delete that information. If you make a purchase directly on the platform, that payment is routed through our authorized processor and is never viewable by Allective brand partners, experts or community owners.

Activated Benefits and Transactions

Allective retains all information regarding benefits you activate on-platform, RSVPs to events and on-platform purchases. We also coordinate with brand partners regarding benefits which you discovered or redeemed on-platform but purchased or otherwise took advantage of outside of the Allective platform.

General Activity

Allective stores information about your on-platform activity including visits, page views, connections, queries, messages, passion and interest selection and changes, favorited content, shared content, referring websites, IP address, device type, operating system, operating conditions, browser and app navigation, enabled notifications and permissions including on-platform settings and notification and permission settings for applications based on the Allective technology platform and downloads, removals and reinstallations of the same.

Interactions Between Members, Brand Partners and Experts

We also store on-platform communications sent to you by other members, brand partners, experts and community owners including the number of messages sent, message content, requests by other members to connect with you, number of queries you receive and the content of those queries, messages from brand partners related to event and experience RSVPs and all other on-platform communications from other members, brand partners, experts and community owners.

Brand Partner Access to Your Data

Allective shares your profile information with the brand partners to whom you choose to connect at the level of visibility you’ve chosen within your profile. For instance, if you choose to only make your first name and last initial visible, etc. then a brand with which you connect will only see that information. Brand partners are also able to view whatever profile information, if any, you make viewable by member search.

Brand partners are also able to see anonymized statistics regarding the overall number of members selecting each passion and interest as well as each member’s specific interactions with brand partners with whom members have chosen to connect.

A brand partner with which you connect can also view your RSVPs to their events, activations of their benefits, purchases from that brand and transaction amounts, messages to that brand and your responses to messages from that brand. At no time can brand partners view your engagement activity with other brand partners other than the anonymized statistics mentioned in the previous paragraph.

Brand partners will also be able to view and may retain for their own purposes the information you share with them as part of taking advantage of a benefit, requesting information, confirming event details, etc. Brand partners are solely responsible for their off-platform usage of your data and, should concerns arise, Allective works swiftly to address member privacy and data protection needs.

Member Access to Your Profile and Activity

Within your personal settings page, you dictate your level of visibility to other members. This includes name, biography, passions and interests, location, etc. Another member to which you are not connected cannot view your actual activity other than to see that you have RSVP’d to an event to which that member has also RSVP’d, public queries, personally-identifiable information which you’ve made available on the platform publicly and whatever publicly available information you choose to disclose through future features. A member with whom you have connected can view any messages and queries you send them and your RSVPs to events to which that member has also RSVP’d.

Community Owner Access to Your Data

Community owners can view the information you choose to share within your personal profile including answers name and contact information, answers to individual initial profile creation questions, passions and interests you select and anonymized statistics concerning overall activity across categories. Community owners cannot view payment information, specifics of individual transactions or any of your communications with other members, experts and brand partners.

On-Platform Disclosure Personally-Identifiable Information

Please keep in mind that if you directly disclose personally identifiable information or personally sensitive data through Allective's public message boards, this information may be collected and used by others.

How long do we store your data?

We store your personal data and personally-identifiable activity for the length of your membership. Should you choose to cancel your membership, unless you otherwise request that we delete your personal data and personally-identifiable activity, we retain your personal data and personally-identifiable activity for 90 days following your membership cancellation. Retaining this data allows us to provide the best experience should you choose to reinstate your membership within 90 days of cancelling your account.

Anonymized member activity may be stored for longer than 90 days.

How Do We Secure Your Data?

Allective secures your information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure on-platform and in-transit between your device and our system including industry-standard SSL encryption. When personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted to other websites, it is likewise protected through SSL protocol.

Third-Party Analytics and Processors

We use Google Analytics, which utilizes cookies and similar technologies, to collect and analyze information about service usage and report on activities and trends. You can learn about Google’s practices on the Google website. We do not utilize any off-platform, third-party processors other than Google Analytics and we do not gather data on your internet activity outside of our platform. We do not release your personally-identifiable information to participating brand partners other than what is required for your direct interaction with brands with which you are connected or directly contact via on-platform communication such as messages and queries. We also do not release activity statistics to any parties other than participating brand partners and community owners. Brand partners with which you have not connected are not provided with personally-identifiable information such as name, contact details, individual transaction history, etc.

Data Transfers

Allective may store and process your personally-identifiable information in any of the localities in which we operate. We may also transfer your collected data to our systems in countries other than the country in which your personal data was originally collected. In all cases, we work to ensure that we comply with relevant local regulations in the countries and regions in which our members reside and in which we store and process data. In certain circumstances, your local courts, law enforcement agencies and government authorities may be entitled to access your personal data. Likewise, your data may be made available to governing authorities and oversight bodies if we detect fraudulent activity, risk of death or imminent harm from the use of Allective technologies.

Platform Age Restrictions

Communities utilizing the Allective platform are intended for authorized users at least 13 years of age and we do not knowingly collect information from users under 13 years of age. If you are under the age of thirteen, you must ask your parent or guardian for permission to use this website.

Links to Other Websites

From time to time, brand partners and experts may include links within expert profiles, brand pages as well as individual benefits and content which direct a user to a website outside of the Allective platform. Those websites may operate independently from us and may have their own privacy notices or policies. We are not responsible for the content, website use and privacy practices of websites we do not own or control.

Opt-Out and Unsubscribe

We respect your privacy and give you an opportunity to opt-out of receiving announcements of certain information. Users may opt-out of receiving any or all communications from Allective by contacting us here:

How to view your collected data?

At any time, you can request an electronic copy of your personal data stored on our system by messaging us through the platform. We will reply promptly and provide a complete list of stored data.

Removing your data from the Allective system

As consented to in your initial registration process, a condition of membership is that you must agree to the data collection described herein and other legitimate uses as outlined in the General Data Protection Regulation of 2018 (GDPR). However, you may cancel your membership at any time and it is easy to completely remove your personally-identifiable information from our systems. Simply message us through the platform with the subject heading of “Delete My Account” and we will process your request within three business days and send a confirmation email of the same.

Changes to This Statement

Allective will occasionally update this Statement of Privacy to reflect company and customer feedback. Allective encourages you to periodically review this Statement to be informed of how Allective is protecting your information.
